Mentor - Tutoring

For many students, engaging in a tutorial experience allows and encourages questioning, discussing, and presenting concerns including test-taking which would be overwhelming or intimidating in a regular classroom. For others, the experience develops self-confidence, allowing the student to express ideas in the larger classroom. Successful learning can lead to growth in self-esteem and maturity. Positive results transfer to other learning situations including life experiences. Frequently, a student who has rarely felt positive about school, develops the realization that he or she has many talents needed in a wider classroom experience.
